Elisabeth finally found justice. She and her children were given new names, and moved to a village in Austria known only as “Village X.” Her home is reportedly monitored and under surveillance. The children were reunited with their mother, and Elisabeth even reconciled with Rosemarie plus her siblings. All contact is rightly cut off with Josef, who must be imprisoned away from the other inmates, as they would harm him. Now he lives a life of confinement just as his daughter did for so many years.
