Eventually Elizabeth became pregnant by her father, and would give birth to seven children. All of the births were inside the tiny space. The first child, Kersten, was in 1996, and grew up in the cellar. Siblings, Stefan, Felix, Monika, Lisa and Alexander followed. Alexander was a twin, and when his sibling, Michael, died, Josef cremated the body himself and scattered the ashes. As for Monika, Lisa and Alexander,  they lived above the cellar in the house with Elisabeth’s mother, their grandmother – – Josef told her they were left on the doorstep by Elisabeth.
